Camps

Action Challenge offers a wide variety of camps suitable to participants both young and mature-age. Camps are customized to cater for a large assortment of groups; ranging from Youth and School camps, to Father and Son, Mother and Daughter, Family camps, and Couples weekends. Action Challenge provides all meals and equipment for activities during the program. Participants will be camped out in a rustic Aussie-style bush hut and will be required to supply their own sleeping bag, swag, or tent. Personal items as well as hat, sunscreen and water bottle will also be required. Whether your organization is business, sporting, or community based, the programs outlined below are only a small portion of programs available. Action Challenge is only too happy to customise a program to suit your individual or organizations requirements; or, alternatively, offer the facility as a base camp for your organizations conferences or training needs.

This weekend program is designed to create a bonding experience between Fathers and their Son that they will both never forget. Over two days and two nights (6pm Friday evening to 4pm Sunday afternoon) there will be experiences that will help Fathers guide their young sons into manhood in the years to come. This learning experience can bring a positive change in attitude and behaviour for both boys and their Fathers in their relationship.

This camp is designed to help Fathers to:

Answer the question of �What does it mean to be a man?�
What is the passage from boyhood?
Create a code of conduct that will guide your young son into manhood
Create significant moments in your son�s life.

It is the responsibility of a loving Dad to raise his son with a �code of conduct� which will give him a right of passage into �Authentic Manhood� Help your Son negotiate a passage from Boyhood into Manhood. Have you got what it takes?

Action Challenge offers family camps designed to bring all members of the family bonded together. During the duration of the weekend, a range of activities are conducted, bringing about greater communication, participation, tolerance and trust within the family unit. Family camps are conducted over a course of three days and two nights (6pm Friday evening to 4pm Sunday afternoon), and is a great experience for all family members involved. Get your family together for an experience they will never forget!

The Couples Camp weekend is a brand new program at Action Challenge. This weekend allows couples to grow in character, love, self-esteem, and helps make their relationship stronger. Through the use of the ropes courses, couples learn the P.A.S.E.O acronym which stands for: Praise and Support Each Other. The duration of the Camp is conducted over three days and two nights (6pm Friday evening to 4pm Sunday afternoon). A fun and exciting learning experience for couples! Strengthen your relationship with your loved one while having fun!

Youth Camps are a great way for young people to learn and discover new things about themselves while also learning to push themselves beyond what they can see themselves achieving. Throughout the duration of the program, those involved learn to trust in themselves and others, develop leadership skills, improve self-esteem, and develop friendships. We believe the Program we offer at Action Challenge allows young people to experience success in a supportive environment, and gain new skills which they can take with them to live out in their homes, workplaces and communities. An excellent life skills program!

School Leadership Camps are a chance for young leaders within the school to expand in their ability, develop their capabilities, and come to characterize their strengths and gifts. Students are encouraged to trust their own judgment and also others. These programs are conducted over 3-5 days (depending on distance) and are Young people need to understand risk management, and the decision making process, and how these relate to responsible behavior. This will affect their lives in later years, throughout School, University, and in the work place, and most importantly will help them live out positive moral and social values, and pass them on to their children. A leadership program designed for your school.

Mother & Daughter Camps are designed to create a bonding experience between Mothers and their Daughters over a weekend program. Over two days and two nights (6pm Friday evening to 4pm Sunday afternoon) Mothers and their Daughters will create a memorable experience together by supporting and guiding each other through specially designed activities.

Throughout these activities, personal development, communication and trust are achieved, which bring about changes in thought processes, and how people treat each other. As a result of this course, participants tend to have a greater respect for themselves and others.

This program teaches a code of conduct for the transition of Girlhood into Womanhood and is designed to assist Mothers to guide their Daughters into �Authentic Womanhood� through a multimedia presentation. This program is designed to help you to guide your Daughter along life�s path with humility and integrity.
